A Change of Plans

Today, Saturday, I was suppose to be having a Harry Potter marathon with some classmates. We were going to watch all the movies and end the marathon by going to the movie theater and watching the last Harry Potter movie as a subtle goodbye to our childhood. But, like the title of this blog intends, a sudden change of plans occurred. Long story short, school related things like projects and homework got in the way of everyone else except me. I ended up spending my Saturday afternoon/ night with Raye and we were suppose to watch a movie too, but that didn't happen and it kinda fell into taking pictures with her amazing DSLR camera. Don't believe me? Take a look at some of the pictures we took that I combined to make a collage using Collage Creator for my Mac!
Very indie, eh? I'm loving it! Sporting my oxfords proudly, as you can see. ;-) And everyone, say hello to Raye!

Oxfords

I've been looking for a pair of Oxfords for the past two months and have been unsuccessful until today. I think today should be recorded somewhere because honestly, today is a very special day. I got a pair of oxfords at an amazing price. Equivalent to 12 dollars. If you're a Philippine peso earner though, that might sound expensive, but since I converted the price to dollars when buying it to convince myself, I bought it. No regrets though. I'm very happy with them. Thanks to my friend Raye for convincing me to actually get them too. They're a grayish navy blue.. I've always wanted the classic brown or the neutral, but they never have my size. Never. And since lately I've grown desperate to owning a pair of Oxfords, I learned to accept that it is simply a sign that brown oxfords are not for me. Or at least not yet, because I do plan on owning a perfect pair of classic oxfords soon. Uh huh. Nothing's stopping me. Anyways, picture time!
Won't they go perfectly with my polka dotted shorts!? This outfit that I'm putting together will be so cute. You just wait.

New Design

Anyone notice? Decided to customize some things and change the colors to make it remind myself more of me. I sound kind of selfish, huh? But I do hope you readers like it. That is, if I have any readers.. Hmm.

Spontaneous Shopping Success

Got a phone call from a dear friend today around 5:30 PM. Usually around 5:30, I'm sitting in bed on my laptop doing the usual, Twitter, Facebook, watching movies, and whatever else but today I got a phone call. "Hey meet me at SM (a mall)!" "Uh, what? Right now? It's almost night time." "But there's a sale at People Are People (our favorite store)! Everything's 50% off! It's not even dark yet, come on!""I would if I could but I doubt I can go out. I'll see what I can do." "Aw, alright. Text me. Bye!" A few seconds after that I got a text. Seeing that she did really want me to go I went and asked my Grandma for permission to go. I never usually go out on weekends, as sad as that sounds. It's not that I wouldn't like to but I'm not used to it. On the weekends you can find me in my room, laying in bed, on my laptop. Every weekend. Guaranteed. I use my weekends to purely do nothing. It's a part of my routine. Anyways, long story short. I went to the mall and met up with her, her being named Raye btw. Like most of me and friends' plans, we went through with shopping at our store, and found nothing. The 'Everything 50% Off' sale only applied to a table inside the store. A table. Very disappointing taken that I think very highly of that store, but it is what it is. After walking around the 2nd floor a couple times, another friend of ours Panjee decided to join and show up to our adventure and we continued shopping. And again, long story short since I keep drifting off and getting into detail, I found a cute pair of shorts at a very good price at The Surplus Shop. Today was actually the first time I stepped into The Surplus Shop, and I must say I was not disappointed. It reminded me of Ross or Marshalls, basically surplus stuff (obviously) from popular stores, mostly clothing, sold at very affordable prices. And we all know nothing beats a good deal. For sure. Here's a picture.
There I am! Sporting my highly accessorized arm with my hand made bracelets and strangely long thumbs, and of course, my newly purchased polka dotted shorts. A spontaneous shopping trip success.

Another Bracelet!

I've definitely been way too lazy to focus on finishing the friendship bracelet I mentioned. I have my mind on other bracelet ideas to make and they're easier and less time consuming. It's not that I don't have the patience, I just don't have any concentration on that certain bracelet. But I am running out of money.. so since I will not allow myself to buy more supplies this week I'll probably find the time to finally finish it. Anyways, enough about that friendship bracelet. I made this bracelet, in less than 45 minutes. A real quick and easy bracelet that makes a super cute accessory. And of course, inexpensive!
Plus check out that charm! It's a hand that has the words hand made engraved on it. Clever right? It was a must buy.

Bracelet(s)!

Started a friendship bracelet a few days ago... that's not finished. It takes a lot of time for me, because when it comes to picky things like the knot being perfect I'm a perfectionist. But today, as I was sipping a Milk Green Tea (recommended by Connie) at Tealoca (a nice, yet pricy tea shop) I decided to run to the craft shop, grab some beads, a clasp, and some thread. Though I have lots of left over thread from the friendship bracelet I'm making I didn't have it with me, so I had to buy more. Grr. Anyways, I made a bracelet in about 30 minutes time? 45 minutes? An hour? Obviously, I'm not exact as to how long it took but it came out very nice and I'm happy with it. And at the same time, inexpensive to make. A factor to always look at. Here's a picture!
Please excuse the bad quality. Taken from my iPod Touch.

Fail

Tried making a simple friendship bracelet, the one under the DIY tab on honestlywtf.com.... Fail. I forgot to connect the two things (I don't know what to call it) and it's basically like two bracelets on 1 string.. that doesn't make sense. Whatever. I'll start connecting them for the next few rows I guess. I'll be positive and say my mistake makes my bracelet unique. Which it does. Gonna study some botany now though, and possibly drink some nice peppermint tea. TTFN!

Yogurt Shops

A spin off on coffee shops and cafes, but just as calming and relaxing. Lately being calm and relaxed is all I need to be satisfied. Keeping things simple. And especially yogurt, it's a guilty free pleasure. Whoever came up with the idea of a yogurt shop should definitely be awarded. But for now, ta ta! Gonna keep sipping on my Green Tea Smoothie.. and decide whether to buy some yogurt or not.. Happy destressing!

Mmm.. Tea

The relaxing aroma and sweet flavors are absolutely irresistible. Along with it's countless health benefits, tea can help you sooth your mood or simply satisfy your taste buds. A perfect package. Uh, okay. I feel like I'm sounding too much of an ad. But nevertheless, tea should not and shall not be underestimated. It's an essential element to my life right now. And quick fact, the word Stash in my blog name is inspired by Stash Teabags. Deliciousness in a bag.

My Botany Hatred

Botany is one of the most uninteresting subjects I have ever experienced. Who cares about what's inside a stem, a leave, or a root? It's completely pointless. And with my course, which is pharmacy, I don't see the necessity. Like, okay yeah. Drugs are derived from plants and all that jazz but is it really necessary to know that the point where the stem and leave meet is called a node? No. The only place where that's necessary is for a grade. A grade. A simple 2 digit number, judging how well you did only a certain subject. Gah. The education system needs some tweaking. But unfortunately, like most things, the only thing that I can do is conform and accept this burdening fate.

Asdfjkl;

I've been such a depressed little booger and I don't even know why. I mean, I do. But it's hard to explain to someone that isn't me. I feel like it's a personal thing that no one would understand, so I keep it to myself and hope for the best. Shit happens, yeah. But it's hard when you're the only one comforting yourself.

Babies.

I want a baby. Babies, even just the word, make me happy. Little kids too, make me happy. They never fail to put a smile on my face with their glowing smiles or cute little chuckles. Their happiness that comes from simple things, their curiosity that reaches the most vast places, and their innocence. Most especially, their innocence. Their innocence makes me feel refreshed. Like when all things go wrong, you can look a little baby's face and feel better. Either in the slightest way, or completely. You feel better. Their faces are full of hope. Babies and kids don't over think things. They don't think about what could go wrong, but rather everything that could go right. A child's happiness is real happiness. Their smiles have meaning. They're not afraid of who they are. And simply, they're just people. People with no judgement, no standards, no expectations. They eat, sleep, play, and go on. Why can't we still be like that? I feel like growing up ruins all the best in us. Growing up creates judgement, standards, expectations. The things that make everything so damn complicated. Even writing this post, I can't count how many times I've backspaced on my own thoughts because I can't help to not want to be judged. I can't help to not want to be criticized because maybe my grammar's wrong and it's not in alignment with someones standards. Or to not want to disappoint someone because of their expectations. It's just how things and us people work, and I find it really sad. So that's why I want a baby. Because even though everything is a complicated mess, a baby with their big clean innocent hearts and their big smiles can make me realize that things are simple and it's just a matter of how you look at it.
